History

Barlesa is a family business founded by Martín Cano de la Cruz in the 1950s. After a series of mergers and acquisitions, Barlesa became the most important company in the sector. In 2001 the founder died and left the company to his son Gonzalo Cano Cembrano. In 2003, Gonzalo Cano Dies, grandson of the founder, became manager of the company.

In 2005 Barlesa acquired Suministros Coc S.L., a national reference in steel wool for crystallization.

In 2006 Barlesa renovated its facilities with state-of-the-art machinery and opened modern offices.

When I joined Barlesa I did it with the illusion of giving a new impulse to the company founded 50 years ago by my grandfather. True to its motto “shrimp that goes to sleep gets carried away by the current”, at Barlesa we are committed to innovation in order to provide value or traditional products and help energize the sector.

Vision

Our goal is to be the national reference for all applications of steel wool and its derivatives, creating our product to improve people’s lives.

Values

At Barlesa we are firmly committed to quality customer service, innovation and specialization in metal wool.
